Every Internet, print and television news outlet is reporting on singer Robin Thicke's arrest in New York City on Friday.
Thicke, best known for belting out the popular number "Lost Without You" that had most women swooning, reportedly caught the attention of NY's finest while he sat in a Cadillac Escalade smoking a joint.
The SUV was allegedly parked close to Gramercy Park near 3rd Ave and 21St in Manhattan with Thicke and another person sitting inside when the City's 'Boys in Blue' arrested him.
The other occupant was not arrested and the 34-year-old singer was reportedly in good spirits during the arrest, even taking pictures with the NYPD officers and dishing out autographs.
Despite the smiles, photo op and generous doling out of autographs, he was still charged with possession of marijuana.
Thicke is married to actressand is the son of , star of the popular sitcom of yesteryear, " Growing Pains." The crooner has release five successful albums, the last one in december called "Love After War."
Could this be a publicity stunt to generate sales for his latest album? Celebrities are known to pull these kind of attention grabbing "mishaps" for a worthy cause--self-aggrandizement. What better way to get yourself in the spotlight than to get tongues wagging?
Either way, he is an incredible singer and can croon to me anytime. Check out the widely acclaimed "Lost Without You" by clicking the video above. That song does things to me (what can I say?) and a little "herb" never hurt anyone.
