
Some of the biggest celebrities Whitney Houston worked with during her singing career were going to attend her service held at Newark, New Jersey’s New Hope Baptist Church starting at noon on Saturday, ABCNews said.
Kevin Costner, who starred alongside with her in the film ‘Bodyguard,’ was expected to speak at the service, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder would sing, Oprah Winfrey and Bill Cosby, the Revs. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were attending.
Others confirmed on the guest list were Chaka Khan, Bebe and Cece Winans, songwriter Diane Warren, pop singer Darlene Love, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Antonio "L.A." Reid, Brandy and Ray J, the singer rumored Houston had relationship with before her death.
Houston’s daughter Bobby Kristina was hospitalized for stress and anxiety that his father Houston’s ex-husband Bobby Brown said “She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother's death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected."
Houston’s funeral would be a private, ‘invite-only affair' and was being handled by the same funeral home that managed the burial arrangements for her father John Russell Houston in 2003.
