Every dog has its day, so the saying goes. And some of them are born lucky – this poodle was one such.

This lucky poodle named Tipsy was a rich woman’s pet and, when it died, its diamond studded collar was buried along with it in the French grave. That collar has been stolen from the cemetery where the famous German shepherd dog ‘RinTin Tin’, a Hollywood star, is cremated.

The poodle belonged to the wife of a wealthy American industrialist and had died in 2003. It had been buried in a marble stone tomb in Asnieres-sur-Seine cemetery – the headstone of the tomb had a large red heart with the image of a poodle on it.

The collar is valued at a little over $10,000 and the theft took place on 4th-5th February.

The cemetery built in 1899 is situated on the banks of the Seine River and houses 3000 animals – while most of them are dogs and cats, there are others like Kiki the monkey, Bunga the rabbit, Faust the sheep apart from a number of horses, and even a lion.
