Europa League: Atletico Madrid smashed Lazio (3-1) in Rome

The Argentine Diego Pablo Simeone, coach of Atletico Madrid, gave "huge congratulations" to his players for the match and the win against Lazio (1-3) in Rome, in the first leg of the knockout phase of the UEFA Europa League, but warned that the tie is "not closed".

"Today, once again, playing in a difficult, important against a team with 1-0 down, players were able to respond," said the coach told 'Four', minutes after the conclusion of the crash, in the his team won by 1-3 with two goals from Colombian Radamel Falcao and one of Adrian Lopez.

"We took a good win, knowing that the tie is not closed," continued the coach, who warned of the potential of Lazio: "We know we play an important rival, who is third in the Italian League and hopes to win the championship of their country. We have a great respect for Lazio. "

Atletico Next up will be in the league, on Sunday against Sporting Gijon in the Molinón. "It's a tough game, tough, a team with a coach (Javier Clemente) very capable, very intelligent and very strong soul. It will not be easy," he added.
