Violin

Comes sit beside me by my timely tree

The world will hardly miss us for this while

As we together etch a memory

Which time will wash ashore on distant isle

-

This timely tree of mine has fed such hope

It watched a family soon come and go

And in their need this tree would help them cope

The reason for their tears it came to know

-

How many lovers here would share a kiss

How many dreams were shared with a sunset

How many knew it all would lead to this

That you and I would pass on this regret

-

Another spring will spark another day

And cast its tears on timely tree and I

As scented breeze draws memories astray

My timely tree and I in search of why
