Vera Wang Fall 2012 indulges her flair for sheer designs!

Designer Vera Wang is once again indulging her penchant for sheer designs and ethereal flights of fantasy for her Vera Wang Fall 2012 collection, which she featured on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2012 for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at The Stage at Lincoln Center on in New York City.

The Queen of Wedding gowns really knows how to work with chiffons and teaming them tastefully to preserve the wearer’s modesty, as she did with her many sheer styles, including my many favorites which I’m featuring in my slide show – the tangerine, orange/black, peacock blue, dusty blue, and various grey/black ensembles, which are infinitely wearable with the right layering and backing (unless of course you want to bare it all).

In every other regard, Vera Wang kept things real to present her styles – nothing costume-y or outrageous – the models were wearing subdued makeup and devoid of hats or other headgear…

It was all about the clothes and not the props and there was nothing there to distract you other than the ethereal styles themselves. And as most would agree, that’s all that was required to captivate the audience – Vera Wang’s flair for fashion and design!

As expected, attending the Vera Wang Fall 2012 fashion show were A-listers such as actresses Viola Davis (loved the blue dress!), Renee Zellweger (the charcoal coat was fab!) and Leighton Meester (loved the green printed chiffon dress!), actor Julius Tennon, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Anna Wintour and professional tennis player Maria Sharapova.
