MANILA PHILIPPINES--Conceptualized mid last year--Project e-UP is a major foresight of the Office of the Vice-President for Development (OVPD) in support of UP President Alfredo E. Pascual’s vision for the University of the Philippines.

OVPD projects are Designed to offer an environment conducive to quality performance of the University’s core functions.

Dubbed as e-UP, the project involves design, development, and implementation and integrated University-wide Information and Communication Technology system or ICT that will seamlessly work at the University of the Philippines and seven constituent universities (CUs) and one autonomous college in 14 campuses throughout the country in Five years time.

Project e-UP is a formidable key project towards achieving operational efficiency through digital exchange of information, data sharing, and electronic processing of transactions that will Address the ICT needs of students, faculty, and administrative staff that will enable the University to give efficient administration that blends with constituent universities and interoperability of all systems through shared databases, online document management, and proper ICT infrastructure.

After the 5-year period, the University of the Philippines will be in the ranks of top academic institutions in Asia and Globally.

Maximizing and utilizing ICT in all aspects of its operations in terms of support teaching, research, and public service and operating under the highest degree of efficiency and productivity as it carries out its mandate to offer the highest quality of education and carry out its mandate to national development
