And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand or to the left.

-- Gen. 24:49 (KJV)

The servant asks the family whether or not they will continue to be hospitable to him after he told them the reason why he travelled to their land. If the answer was yes, then the servant was going to stay. If not, then the servant would leave. Remember that you cannot force anyone to do anything that he or she does not want to do.

Numerical Analysis: The numerical pattern for this verse is 6,4,1,2,9. (6) To expose evil, choose to be kind and truthful. (4) To stay in God's Word, demand to hear how others feel about you. (1) To follow God, realize that being kind and truthful to others is a choice. (2) To be delivered, demand to hear the truth. (9) To overturn evil, remember that there is always a way of escape.
