ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Sherry Rehman Tuesday strongly condemned the blast at a hospital in Dera Ismail Khan which caused loss of precious lives.

"The government would never tolerate such acts and the perpetrators would be taken to task," she said in a statement issued here.

The Minister said neither our religion allows such acts. This is a terrorist attempt by elements against the country as well as democracy, she added.

Sherry Rehman said the criminals were playing with the lives of innocent people and reiterated to fight this menace with full might and bring to book the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

"It is a barbaric act of terrorism which reflected inhumane nature of the perpetrators, she said and added a few elements were trying to disrupt peace in the country but they will not succeed in their designs.

She prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.

She also sympathized with the injured and prayed for their early recovery.
