News sources Wikipedia, ESPN MLB and Associated Press. San Francisco California. Free agent pitcher Guillermo Mota 38, has agreed to a one year contract with the San Fransisco Giants worth a $1 million dollars on Thursday.

Mota a right handed pitcher had a pitching record of 2 wins and 2 losses with a 3.81 earned run average for the Giants in the 2011 baseball season.

Mota pitched in one game in the 2010 World Series versus the Texas Rangers. The Giants beat the Rangers to win their first World Series championship since 1954 when they were the New York Giants. The franchise moved from New York City to San Fransisco in 1958.

Mota has played in the Major Leagues for 12 seasons with the Montreal Expos, Los Angeles Dodgers, Florida Marlins, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets and the San Fransisco Giants.
