Katy Perry and Russell Brand Reach Divorce Settlement
Russell Brand could earn up to $ 20 million for her divorce from Katy Perry, but the British comedian does not want the money from the singer.
According to website TMZ Russell presented the divorce papers last Tuesday, but the separation will become official until June 30 because the laws provide for a waiting period of six months.
Also, under the laws of California and as the couple signed a prenuptial agreement, all money received in its 14 months of marriage is owned by the couple, so to separate your income must be divided into 50% for each .
According to Forbes-Katy Perry earned $ 44 million between May 2010 and May 2011, Russell could be done with half that sum.
However, a source close to the couple said that the separation is as friendly as can be and Brand does not want the money from his wife yet.
Russell filed for divorce after Christmas, a date that the couple did not share, like the New Year.
