For the past several years the Grammy Awards have been more about the unique performances and comebacks than the actual handing out of awards. With only a few days before the fifty-fourth annual Grammy Awards presentation the Recording Academy is still adding performers to the all star line up.

Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, and David Marks better known as The Beach Boys will be joined byGrammy nominated rockers Maroon 5 and Foster the People in what the Recording Academy is calling a special performance. Speaking on the reunion Beach Boys founder Briand Wilson said, "I miss the boys and it will be a thrill for me to make a new record and be on stage with them again.”

In December The Beach Boys announced a new album and tour to celebrate 50 years in the music business. The Beach Boys were formed in the early sixties by brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson; along with cousin Mike Love. Friends Al Jardin, David Marks, and Bruce Johnston all joined the band in various incarnations over the years. Bruce Johnston is the man who penned the hit song “I Write the Songs” which became a smash hit for legendary entertainer Barry Manilow.

Other performances added to the show are The Civil Wars, jazz crooner Diana Krall, Maceo Parker, and Eagle Joe Walsh, a duet with Tony Bennett and Carrie Underwood, and a tribute to Etta James by Bonnie Raitt and Alicia Keys,
