The top US Republican in Congress had asked for action against a White House contraception rule that has made Catholic Leaders angry.

Speaker John Boehner had stated that legislation was needed against the rule, meaning that the Church-linked institutions must buy health insurance which willcover birth control costs.

Catholic leaders had stated that this legislation will force them to violate religious beliefs.

White House officials had said that they want to find ways to adhere to the Church concerns.

But one report in the New York Times on Wednesday had reported that the administration are not willing to back down from the rule.
