The call recordings of the social worker who made 911 calls to save the Powell kids, has been released

The Josh Powell case has caught the media attention due to the bizarre details which are entailed in this case. Now the emergency calls which were placed in the minutes after Josh Powell killed his young sons by the social worker, have been released and they show new insights. The social worker had brought Josh and Susan Powell’s children, Barden, 7, and Charlie, 5, to meet with their father. The social worker was supposed to be there with the children while they remained with their father. However, when the social worker brought the children and they went inside the house, Josh Powell slammed the door on the social worker’s face.

According to the call details which have been released, the unnamed social worker called 911 as soon as Josh Powell locked her outside. She was devastated and felt that there was some threat to the children. "Nothing like this has ever happened before, I'm really shocked, I can hear one of the kids crying," the woman said. "This is the craziest thing, he looked right at me and closed the door."

After putting down the phone once, the social worker called up 911 again and told the operator that she could smell gas coming out of the house and that she was certain that something is going to go extremely wrong. After a short while the house blew up and then the social worker called again; "He blew up the house and the kids!" she cried. "He slammed the door in my face!"

The social worker was so upset that she even called up her husband and kept repeating that the kids ‘trusted me’. The husband also told the reporters that the social worker was ‘not doing very well’ despite being offered counseling.

The Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill said that it seems quite likely that Susan Powell is dead. But they cannot start treating her disappearance as a murder case since her body has not yet been found. They officials are going to keep treating it as a missing person’s case until the time that they find Susan Powell’s body.

Josh Powell was the leading suspect in this case, but he became quite upset when the judge asked him to undergo a psycho-sexual analysis. In fact, the fact that Josh Powell killed himself and his children, might be an acknowledgment of his guilt.
