Bridges in Negros and section road in Cebu Province are impassable due to damages of earthquake

The 6.9 magnitude earthquake that hits the Central Visayas causes the 11 bridges in Negros impassable and the Department of Public Works and Highways estimated the damages worth P265.75 million.

Among the impassable bridges are in Martilo and Malaiba in La Libertad; Pangaloan, Jimalalud and San Jose in Jimalalud; Oyangan in Ayungon; Baleria, Tinayunan, P. Zamora and Habag in Guiulngan. Some section in the north part of Dumaguete that have cracks, road cuts and landslides due to earthquake are also impassable.

In Cebu province the section road od Dalaguete-Mantalongon-Badian specifically in the kilometer 111 and 112 are also mpassable due to road slips, debris and landslides. The clearing operation of DPWH are still ongoing.
