BUTUAN CITY, Philippines - A 6.9 magnitude quake has hit several places in Visayas in the central part of the Philippines late this morning. Among the areas hit were Cebu City, Dumaguete in Negros Oriental and Iloilo City. A Tsunami Alert Level 2 was raised to caution the residents living along the sea shores. Evacuation of residents in these areas have been undertaken as of press time.
