In what is being called a spontaneous moment during the half-time show at Super Bowl 46, Rapper M.I.A has brought a different type of attention by flipping the middle finger. In a late attempt to block the gesture, the screen briefly went blurred after M.I.A.'s gesture by less than a second. NBC spokesman Christopher McCloskey said. "We apologize for the inappropriate gesture that aired during halftime; it was a spontaneous gesture that our delay system caught late."
The incident immediately got users attention on the popular social networking site twitter.com, and users started recalling thewardrobe malfunction incident. British singer M.I.A. is best known for her 2007 hit "Paper Planes," a Grammy nominee for record of the year that memorably features a sample of the Clash song, "Straight to Hell." It was featured on the soundtrack to the movie "Slumdog Millionaire."
