And the Lord hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.

-- Gen. 24:35 (KJV)

In this verse, the servant states that the Lord had blessed Abraham greatly and that Abraham had become a great person due to all of those blessings. Notice that being blessed greatly involved having plenty of resources. God does not want for you to be broke.

Also notice that becoming great is different from being blessed with plenty. There are some wealthy people that are not great because they do not use their resources properly. Actually, it doesn't matter what your financial status is. You become great because you manage your resources correctly.

Numerical Analysis: The numerical pattern for this verse is 6,8,5,2,4,3. (6) Expose evil in order to be blessed by God. (8) Choose to have a new beginning in God in order to become great. (5) Stay in God's presence so that He will bless you with resources. (2) Walk in God's kingdom so that He will bless you with resources. (4) Stay in God's Word so that He will bless you with wealth. (3) Stay in the Spirit so that He will bless you with wealth.
