Ben GazzaraBen Gazzara has died aged 81 in New York, where he lived. The actor hadpancreatic cancer. Gazzara worked in theater, having received three Tony Award nominations. On stage, stood out in the first production of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" in 1955.
In the film, worked with director John Cassavetes, who was also a personal friend, in films like "The Husbands" (1970), "The Killing of a Chinese Bookie" (1976) and "If It's Tuesday,This Must Be Belgium" (1969).
In recent decades, acted in films like "Paris, I Love You" (2006), "The Big Lebowski"(1998) and "Thomas Crown Affair - The Art of Crime" (1999) and worked with great directors such as Spike Lee ("summer of Sam ") and Lars von Trier (" Dogville ").
