Manila police have arrested a 26-year-old Chinese man, GMA News identified as Bou Shu Yang, after an unnamed eyewitness told police he stabbed his girlfriend to death before driving his car over her at a main street in Manila.

A CCTV footage showed Shu Yang backed his car a few meters away from the victim and drive onward to run over her and as she laid down almost dead on the pavement he got out of the car and stabbed her until dead and sped away over her body once more taking a right turn into a dark corner of the street.

Police senior inspector Joey de Ocampo, in an interview with GMA said, Shu Yang confessed to the killing after her girlfriend kept on insisting he pay the P1.3 million he took from her while in the mainland China threatening she would hire killers to kill his family if he didn’t return the money.

But police said Shu Yang had a string of crimes to his name including swindling and theft as he could pick door locks to condominium units, many complained he was caught by camera ransacking valuables in Makati City area.

Authorities have informed the Chinese Embassy in Manila about the killing incident where Shu Yang faced murder charges.
