Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam, better known by her stage name M.I.A. (Missing in Act(i)on), a rapper, singer and songwriter of Sri Lankan Tamil descent, is going to take part in the half-time show of the Super Bowl XLVI.
The championship football game will be played between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots on Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
According to available information MIA will perform in the show alongside , the 53-year-old Material Girl.
It is also reliably learnt that Onika Tanya Maraj, better known by her stage name will also join the troupe.
All three are going to perform for "Give Me All Your Luvin'", upcoming single of Madonna in which all these three pop stars are featured.
As per press reports, Last year's Super Bowl attracted 111 million US viewers, the largest ever US audience for a single TV broadcast and all the commercial slots for this year's game were sold out by Thanksgiving 2011, at an average price of $3.5 million per thirty-second ad, by far the highest rate for Super Bowl advertising in the event's history.
