Costa Concordia 2012 - The First Pictures Inside The Ship

The search for missing people in the disaster of Costa Concordia was held under the most dangerous circumstances. The divers had to avoid debris, wires and sharp edges of the hull not to become victims themselves.

Their bravery and risking their own lives brought up 17 bodies of the 33 people missing but there are still 16 left in the ship which had not been found.

The rescue agencies now decided to stop the search on Tuesday. Any further search would mean diving deeper into the badly deformed hull. The rescue agencies stated that it would put too much danger onto the divers and to lose more lives would not be acceptable.

Therefore, the search for further bodies was halted and the Diplomats of the countries, where the missing people are from, were informed.
