According to data released by Kashmir Media Service‚ twenty-nine people were critically injured when Indian police and paramilitary personnel resorted to the use of brute force against peaceful demonstrators in the occupied territory during the month.

Meanwhile‚ veteran Kashmiri leader‚ Syed Ali Gilani has called for general strike and protest demonstration on Friday against shifting of detained Kashmiri politicians outside the state.

Thirty-seven civilians‚ mostly youth‚ were also arrested in the state during this period.
