Earthquake 5.9 Magnitude Rattles Bengkulu, Residents Panic

A number of residents in various offices run over, when an earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter Scale rocked Bengkulu, on Wednesday (1 / 2) at around 14:27 pm, this afternoon.

The employees in various offices ran out to save themselves. Until now there is no official information on casualties and other damage caused by the earthquake.

Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) describes the local, measuring 5.9 magnitude quake occurred at 14:27 pm no tsunami potential. The earthquake is located at 3.84 South Latitude (LS) and 102.05 east longitude (BT), depth of 29 kilometers, with its center 30 kilometers northwest of Bengkulu city or 34 kilometers southwest of Kepahiang.
