Paterno family plans to sell DVDs of Joe Paterno's memorial service

News sources Rivals.com and Associated Press. State College Pennsylvania. Scott Paterno the son of the late Joe Paterno said in a statement Monday his family will be selling videotapes of Joe Paterno's memorial service and donate the profits made from the sales of the videotape to a charity.

Scott said various media outlets have expressed an interest in selling copies of the memorial service that drew over 12,000 persons to a Penn State University campus arena last week.

The Paterno family said they will launch a website soon where copies can be purchased on DVD.

Joe Paterno died Sunday January 22, 2012 of lung cancer. Paterno was relived of his duties as the football coach of the Penn State University in November in the infamous child sex abuse scandal involving his former assistant coaches. Paterno was not charged with any crime in the scandal but he said he wished he could have done to prevent this tragedy from happening.
