Occupy Oakland: Protesters Make Their Voices Heard at City Council Meeting (CBS5)

With memories of Occupy Wall Street gradually fading away, the war cry now is OOP – Occupy Oakland Protest. The police have reportedly fouled nighttime attempt of the protesters to keep up the Occupy agitation which appeared to have fizzled out.

The police fired tear gas shells and arrested 300 protesters out of the 2000 strong mob who tried to enter the vacant Henry Kaiser convention center, and then broke into the City Hall and also tried to occupy a YMCA.

Jean Quan, the Mayor of Oakland has said that the protesters had forced their way into the City Hall and resorted to burning flags and destroying properties like art structures and a recycled art exhibit that had been created by children.
