The 64th annual Directors Guild of America Awards 2012 were held tonight at the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland.

The winners list is as follows:

* The Artist director Michel Hazanavicius was named the year's best feature film director.

*Best documentary film was awarded to 'Project Nim' by James Marsh.

* Best commercial went to Noam Murro (Biscuit Fimworks).

*Daytime serial "General Hospital" won the gong for best serial by William Ludel.

* 'A Child's Garden of Poetry' by Amy Schazt recieved for children's best program.

* Neil P. Degroot's 'Biggest Loser' was declared as the Best Reality Program.

*Robert B. Weide's 'Curb your Enthusiasm' won the gong for best comedy series.

*Jon Caesar's 'The Kennedys (Reelz Channel) won the title for movies for television and mini-series.

*Best dramatic series went to 'The Killing' by Patty Jenkins.
