Live iPad performance by moe.

moe. gave an interview and performance this evening on Macworld's live stage. They're all working through garage band in this video except for Jim Loughlin, one of the percussionists.

"Garageband didn't have a mallets app." He uses an app developed by Jason Martineau.

Although this set is undeniably awesome, the group doesn't think that they'll ever treat iPads as one-to-one replacements for analog musical instruments as anything more than a gimmick. "I'm not looking for an iPad to be a great guitar. There are plenty of great guitars out there," said guitarist Al Schnier. "I want it to be something else.

"I want it to be an iPad!"

Check out the video here.

The video doesn't work. If you upload a video that is not from youtube, then it takes a pretty long time before it is up and running with your report.
