Fitness-Tracker 90 CE - How to create a schedule

Mobile app developer Abvio wants to help you stick to your New Year's Resolution you made almost a month ago to get - and stay - fit. Whether you enjoy walking, running or cycling, Abvio's apps help monitor your workouts, inspire confidence and share your progress. The company's apps, Walkmeter, Runmeter and Cyclemeter, are powered exclusively by your iPhone's GPS. Abvio claims GPS is more accurate than the accelerometer, which other fitness apps use instead.

The San Francisco-based company has been in the business of creating advanced fitness apps for three years. Their small team is devoted entirely to building comprehensive, easy-to-use applications that empower individuals to meet their fitness goals. Abvio showcased its next-generation software at Macworld | iWorld 2012, which is expected to hit the App Store later this year.

Tight social integration motivate you to workout

One of the many neat features of Abvio's fitness apps is the ability to update your social network automatically when you're working out. Let's say you're in the middle of a jog, and someone responds to the tweet Abvio broadcast. The app automatically reads the text aloud to you using a natural voice text-to-speech engine. So, during your jog, you hear "Keep it up!" or "You can do it!" from one of your followers. The same text-to-speech program is also used to broadcast announcements at set intervals, such as your total distance or time spent working out. During the course of your workout, the program updates your location on a map via Twitter, Facebook or email so others can see your progress.

Data is King

According to Steve Kusmer, CEO of Abvio, "With 7.0, our customers will see even greater benefit from their workout data." Within the Abvio app interface, users can see how far they ran, walked or cycled, in addition to their average speed or pace. The app archives every workout, so you can chart your progress and view historical graphs. Kusmer notes he had nearly two years of workout data on his iPhone, and it barely took up any space. The data can also be exported to external file formats, such as CSV for Microsoft Excel.

Completely Customizable

Abvio's apps are completely customizable based on the data that matters most to you. Users have access to more information than any other app in the iTunes store. With more than 150 data items, users can program the app to display what matters most to them. And they're not limited to a single "page" of data either, so they can add multiple pages of data, such as maps, graphs and an in-app music player. Plus, users can stop and start their workouts using their iPhone's headphones remote control, something no other app does.

Compatible with Wahoo Fitness Blue Heart Rate Strap

Runmeter, Walkmeter and Cyclemeter add support for Wahoo Fitness's Blkue Heart Rate Strap, which allows exercisers to monitor their heart rate before, during and after their workouts. Using this data, they can adjust their intensity as needed to get in their optimal heart rate zone, which is key to improving their stamina. The strap wirelessly sends data over Bluetooth, so you do not need a separate adapter or case.
