MANILA, Philippines-The year of the Water Dragon promises a good year, specially for communicators. However, expect also tragedies and calamities brought forth by the presence of the Yellow Star in the southeast area, says Ms. Dorothy Ann Pascual, a feng shui expert, from the Philippines.
Feng shui, literally means ‘wind, water', is an exact science, says Ms. Pascual. By way of computing one's birth date, time and the area where the person was born, the feng shui expert can determine the fate of the person, whether he or she would be lucky or not-so-lucky this year in terms of fortune or wealth, career, fame, health, and even love life.
But what's in store for us in the year of the Water Dragon?
"The Water Dragon, first of all, is very short-tempered, meaning that there would be a little trouble, making it difficult for our decision-makers to create policies. That what the Yellow star brings," she said.
Sicknesses, road accidents, miscommunication or misunderstanding, and natural calamities are expected to come due to the presence of the Yellow Star.
"What makes it scary is that these things, or these natural calamities are uncontrollable," Ms. Pascual said.
The feng shui expert furthered: "During the time of the [metal] Rabbit, the unfavorable month is December, where the Sendong (Washi) tragedy came. Earlier, in March, the tremor happened in Japan is also a result of the Yellow Star, present on that time."
On the other hand, the presence of the Roman Star on the eastern portion of the Dragon could bring good luck, more love, and good business ventures.
"For those who have no boyfriend or girlfriend, it is expected for their love life to improve; it is also a good year to get married. However, the parents should guide their teenage sons and daughters for the strong presence of the Roman Star can also trigger early marriage," she said. It is also a very fertile year that there is a big possible for a woman to get pregnant.
"The babies born under the Water Dragon sign is expected to be very auspicious," she said.
Those who are born in the year of the Rabbit, Monkey, Rooster, Rat, Tiger, and Horse are considered lucky this year while the other signs (Dog, Ox, Boar, Sheep, Dragon and Snake) are expected to be not-so-lucky as the Water Dragon flies and swims in the oceans of fortunes and luck, this 2012.
"The Ox should be watchful on their health because they can easily get sick. For the Dog, expect some fights and misunderstanding," she said.
In order to prevent this, Ms. Pascual said, the Ox can keep a pi-yao with flaming sword. The statue of the dragon must be put inside one's home to attract good luck, fame and fortune. This, says Ms. Pascual, is a ‘must' for every home.
As parting words, Ms. Pascual said: "For the signs that are considered lucky, always think positive. And don't forget to pray, for prayer is the best weapon that we can use to counter all the bad luck that the Water Dragon can bring."
