Story Line: 27 year-old Adam lives a healthy life. He doesn't drive a car, he doesn't cross streets when the light is red, he doesn't even drink faucet water. But when he goes sees his doctor for a back problem he has, he finds out he has a tumor on his colon. He knows he has 50/50 chances of living, but the question is whether he is going to make it or not.
My Thoughts: I never heard this movie in my life but when I noticed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was nominated for the golden globes for this movie I thought it was worth checking out. It definately was a good movie to see. I thought they had brilliant actors in this movie, and just the emotion of this movie was so touching.
Acting: Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Adam. Joseph has grown so much since 3rd Rock From the Sun. Never would of imagined that this guy was going to be a great actor. But watching him grow I found to like allot of his movies, and acting especially in this one. It's too bad he didn't win, but he still has the academy's if he gets nominated. I will be glad to cheer on for him.
Seth Rogen plays Kyle. I am not the biggest fan of this actor, but having him in this movie I thought it was a perfect time. We needed some sense of humor to the movie, not just drama.
Anjelica Huston plays Diane (Adam's mom). This woman sure always can make you feel eerie but in a good way. I thought her character was perfect for her. She has and still will be one of my favorite actors.
Bottom Line: I say chek this movie out. If you like a good drama. Probably it's more of a movie for female's and those that are battling cancer. I really hope you give this movie a chance. I give this movie a 7 1/2 out of 10.
