Qatar Opens Research Center for Islamic World
A new research center has opened in the capital of Qatar,Doha. The research center was created on the contribution ofscholars from around the world. This place offers a better understanding of Islamic law and ethics,
"I've always believed, the vital need to create a research platformthat could include an integrated system derived from the principles and values central Islamic thought. Especially considering the developments that occurred in the last decade ofthe third millennium," said Sheikha Moza Bin Nasser, ChairmanQatar Foundation, the field of education, science and community development (QF), as reported by Gulf News on Tuesday (16 / 1).
Center for Islamic Research and Ethics Legislation (Chile) was inaugurated on Sunday (15 / 1), along with Islamic ethicsconference.
Chile was founded by the ruler of Qatar own wife, Sheikha Mozahand assisted by Dr. Mustofa Ceric, Grand Mufti of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the UNESCO Peace Prize winner, FelixHouphouet Boigny. The center also aims to discuss the application of Islamic ethics in the environment, gender, economics, arts, education and bioethics.
The center also aims to reach a global audience and mixing ofprofessions ranging from scholars, experts, students and the general public.
Chile also became the first research center with a global scale.The research center focused on Islamic law and ethical thinking.
