The Miami Heat did an amazing third-quarter turnaround to wipe out a big shortfall and lambasted the San Antonio Spurs 120-98 on Tuesday night, shattering a three-game slide. Lebron James put in 33 points, Chris Bosh scored 30.
In the third quarter Miami outscored San Antonio 39-12, the second-largest disparity for any quarter in Heat history, and the second-worst discrepancy for a period in Spurs history. The Heat shadowed by as many as 17 points in the first half, 52-35 late in the second quarter. And the Heat made it without Dwayne Wade due to a sprained right ankle.
