Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler competes in the swimsuit portion of the 2012 Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas

Laura Kaeppeler, 23, from Wisconsin won the Miss America 2012 crown on Saturday night. The 91st Miss America grand finale was held at the Theatre for the performing Arts at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on January 14, 2012. Miss America 2011 winner Teresa Scanlan crowned Miss Wisconsin Kaeppeler at the final moment of the event.

Betty Thompson from Oklahoma stood 2nd and Katilin Monte from New York got the 3rd place at the event. ABC telecasted the Miss America 2012 event live across the globe.
