Most forums are Dog and Pony shows, if the Chamber of Commerce puts them on.

Questions that people want answered; never get asked. They are the root of our problems with corrupt and low-grade candidates. Here in Canada it is the CofC that somehow co-opted this task.

At the last Civic election the Chamber of Commerce posed the question about the "reinstatement of the business vote" WOW They just don't get it.

At the last Federal meet the candidates forum, the citizens were not allowed to attend!!!!

They plant questions and when there is an open mic, they stack the line; so that honest questions seldom reach the floor. I've caught them on video doing just that:
