Elin Nordegren has had her newly-bought $12 million mansion demolished to get something bigger and better in its place.
The huge mansion was located in North Palm Beach, Fla., and the area has some of the best houses on the market.
Elin Nordegren is currently living in the San Remo condominiums, which are located at the oceanfront development in nearby Juno Beach. She will continue to stay at the current location while her new house is built. It is expected to take a lot of time for the construction to take place, as it’s a huge project.
The property was bought by Elin Nordegren after her divorce fromand the price of the house at that time was $12.3. According to a realtor, a nearby house in Elin Nordegren’s neighborhood is up on the market for nearly $18 million.
A demolition permit was signed by the Palm Beach County for the 17,000-SF, circa 1932 property, on the 16th of December and it was active till the 17th of June, 2012, according to the official records. The house was on a 77-acre land. It is still not clear who will be building the new house, but being a woman of taste, Elin Nordegren is surely going to hire someone with great architectural and designing skills for the new house.
The $12 million house was bought by Elin Nordegren in March after a settlement was struck between her and her former husband, Tiger Woods. Elin Nordegren was able to extract a whopping $110 million from Tiger Woods as divorce settlement and now she is clearly a rich woman who has no more financial worries.
Tiger Woods was caught cheating on his wife two years ago. After that, Woods’ other infidelities came out into the open and it was discovered that he had an affair with around 15 women. After the discovery, Elin Nordegren did not take long to file for divorce and has remained single since then.
