Banana-Sam is back to his bananas in San Francisco zoo

Banana-Sam, a one-foot high squirrel monkey, weighing just 2-lbs had been stolen from the zoo in San Francisco. The vandals had apparently cut the wire netting of its enclosure and had stolen the animal.

Fortunately, it was found a few miles tom the zoo – a helpful person managed to entice it back into his backpack. The 17-year old orange-grey primate is now back in its familiar surroundings.

Banana-Sam had arrived in a lot of 20 other squirrel-monkeys at the San Francisco zoo from a nearby research center because its funds had been stopped.
