Tennis star Andy Murray hires former Grand Slam champ Ivan Lendl as coach

News sources Wikipedia and Brisbane Australia. Scottish tennis star Andy Murray on Saturday hired former eight time Grand Slam champion Ivan Lendl.

Murray has won 22 single tennis titles in his career including five singles titles in 2011 but he has never won a Grand Slam title in his career.

Murray who is a native of Scotland has finished in second place three times in his tennis career including two second place finishes in the last two Australian Opens.

Lendl was born in Czechoslovakia and is now an American citizen won 94 single tennis tournaments and eight Grand Slam titles. Lendl said about being Murray's coach "He is a unique talent and I look forward to trying to help him reach his goals."
