WHY NASA NEVER RETURNED TO THE MOON? PART 2 (APRIL 2011)
NASA astronaut Neil Armstrong was the first man on the Moon. That was the Apollo-11 mission in 1969 – later in 1972, two more American astronauts landed on the Moon in the Apollo 17 mission. And now, China is drawing up plans to send their man to the Moon by 2020. It would be a big gap of 50 long years. China also plans to complete its first space station also in the same year. It appears to have been encouraged by its success in docking two unmanned spacecraft in Space only last month and, considering the slow progress in the field by other agencies like NASA due to lack of funds, the Chinese are upbeat about their projects.
