officers were dispatched to the Medical Center Emergency Room regarding a person shot. CID Detectives also responded to the hospital and made contact with the 32 year-old black male victim. According to the victim, he was taking out his trash when he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. He went inside and a friend noticed he was bleeding. Consequently, he drove himself to the hospital. The victim told officers he did not hear a gunshot, see a muzzle flash, or see any suspect. A cursory search of the area revealed blood inside the victim’s truck located at his residence. However, the victim didn’t know how the blood got in the truck and became uncooperative, advising officers that he wanted no further investigation of the incident.
