Recently I came across this photo of a pretty awesome tweed jacket, Jodhpur pants and riding boots ensemble.
While I probably won’t gravitate towards the jodhpurs, I do like the pairing of the tweed with the maroon floral print.
In my case, the maroon floral print will also have to be a skirt, which I recently thrifted, though an olive skirt, a faux suede maroon skirt and a slightly flared blue denim skirt will also do extremely well.
Tweed should be worn with denim for that “cool” factor and if you look great in jeans, opt for the jeans with the tweed jacket instead of a skirt, like Demi Moore did.
As far as foot wear, these brown leather penny loafers or biscuit colored oxfords would go extremely well but these unusual tri-color ankle booties in brown, olive and burgundy leather will team well with the colors in the tweed jacket.
I know you’re asking: tricolor? Well, when I found them on eBay, they were photographed in such a way that they appeared a tan/cognac color with a hunter green strip on the side, which I thought I could live with. Surprise! But I’ll wear them the best I can…
I also like the idea of accessorizing with an autumnal colors scarf that picks up on the colors in the tweed, as draped over in the photograph I’m enclosing. It’s all about how you accessorize that ties the whole look together.
Remember, a well-cut tweed jacket is a classic and will never go out of fashion! Take a look at my slideshow to see what I mean…
