Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said that the elected government has followed the principles of Molo-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and brings all decisions through consultation with elected representatives.

Addressing the meeting of the cabinet 100 Federal held here in connection with the anniversary of birth of father of the nation's Quay-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Gilani said that the parliament will complete its five year term. He said that this will strengthen democratic institutions.

"It is an honor for the current government who has completed his 45 months and will complete the term of five years given to it by the people of Pakistan," he said.

He said the federal cabinet is the first democratic government that had held 100 meetings in 45 months and had now completed the century.

Gilani said it was the best way to pay homage to the father of the nation's Quay-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah that the democratic government has completed 45 months.

He said the government has taken all decisions in consultation with the parliament.

The Prime Minister said the democratic government has secured the freedom of the press and independence of judiciary. He did not say there is no political prisoner in the country today.

He said the government has the reverence due to the independence of judiciary and gave respect to its decisions by accepting them with open hearts.

Gilani said, "is the credit of this democratic government that led to the decision to form the National Finance Commission, reviewing the past, 18 has restored the 1973 constitution and the constitution in its original form through parliament unanimously."

He said following the principles of Molo-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah that the government has taken decisions to strengthen democratic institutions and led to decisions on all important issues through mutual consultation.

The prime minister said the government has organized the All Parties Conference twice for consultation on national issues and has invited politicians who have no representation in parliament.

He said that President Asif Ali Zardari, who has surrendered his powers to parliament that he also addressed the joint session of parliament three times. This is another in record time in parliamentary history since none of his predecessors had met this constitutional requirement.

Please refer to foreign policy, Gilani said in line with the principles of the Pier-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the democratic government adopted the policy to have relations with all countries including its neighbors with the honor and dignity.

On the issue of Kashmir, the Prime Minister said, "The government has a very clear course of action on the issue of Kashmir and want to resolve it in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Kashmir."

Appreciating the contribution of Pakistan Army in defending the country, the prime minister said that the Armed Forces have given to the sacrifices to defend its borders.

Gilani has vowed that the sovereignty, integrity and solidarity of the country would be protected at any cost and ensuring to give any sacrifice for this high purpose.

Islam has taught equality, justice and fairness to all. What reason is there for any one to fear democracy, equality, freedom on the highest standard of integrity and on the basis of fairness and justice for all "?

Gilani has also established the Special Unit operating under the Minister of Finance to resolve issues of national institutions including PIA, Pepco, the Railway and Pakistan Steel.

He announced that 2012 will be the year of Balochistan and assured that the people of Baluchistan take their fundamental rights.
