Now that Christmas is almost over and Kwanzaa is upon us what are the predictions foremost in our minds? Some may blurt out that it would be business as usual. It could include Obama losing the 2012 elections; more earthquakes around the world; more nuclear explosions some where other than Japan; dictators just refusing to give up power and some fanatics declaring the end of the world.
Whatever that is we must face it that New Year predictions and New Year resolutions go together. How many times we predict resolutions and by January 31st they are all forgotten like dead bones in a grave. Then, at the end of the next year we make them again to adopt the same strategies over and over.
Definitely, the prediction for this type of thinking is impending insanity. Psychologists refer to the phenomenon as doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. So, here we are at the end of 2012 doing the same thing again, ‘making predictions for the coming year.’ Does this make any sense?
Scientists have discovered that a better way of making predictions for coming years is to conscientiously evaluate what was achieved during the year. Look at victories, strengths, adequate utilization of resources and celebrate successes. At the same time open mindedly assess battles lost and resources wasted. Then make predictions for the future.
These predictions initiate our personal New Year resolutions which can become fulfilling prophesy once they are held in consciousness constantly. A great philosopher once said that words and thoughts held in mind produce after their kind. It simply means that we as individuals can link minds with each other to predict our future without even visiting a psychic.
Did you know that all a psychic does is to predict what is operating in the mind of persons at the time of the visit? Yes, psychics study mind. Would you allow someone to tell you what is on your mind? Think! It is your mind and you ought to know what is inside of it. Once you allow anyone to read your mind you give them the power to control your future. Therefore, a better guarded mind may want to be a prediction you can make in 2012.
Now as 2012 approaches do not run around the globe for someone to make a prediction for you. Look at yourself in the mirror and reflect on your past and institute the future. Do the same thing about your organization, family, friends, country and the world. Make the 2012 predictions yourself. Then they will come true!
