The great NOOR JEHAN, born on September 21, 1926, started her carrier as child star from Calcutta at age of nine. For her heart touching voice she is also called MALIKA E TARRANUM (melody queen), sang more than 10,000 songs in various languages for both Pakistani an Indian films.
She made her film debut from Punjabi film ‘Sheila’ and her last film was ‘Ghalib’. In 1957 she was awarded with ‘president’s award’ for her performance in singing and acting. She was a wonderful play back and a great play back singer, with an amazing style.
