I'm wishing the world happy winter holiday season to all

I'm wishing holiday greetings of joy, health, and serenity this December to all the ethnic groups of the human race of the world. For December, I wish the Muslims a harmonious Ashura which was celebrated on December 5th.

For those celebrating St. Nicholas Day around the world, greetings, and St. Nicholas Day was celebrated on December 6th. Buddhist's Enlightment Day was celebrated by Buddhists on December 8th. For Jews, Hanukkah is being celebrated this week in December. Then there's the Virgin of Guadalupe Day celebrated Dec. 12 in Mexico. And the next day, Dec. 13th, was Santa Lucia Day celebrated by the Swedes.

From December 16 to 25 is celebrated Las Posadas in Mexico. Christmas is celebrated on December 25th. In England and Canada, Boxing Day is Dec. 26th. Then we have African-American Kwanzaa celebrated on December 26th. In December the Hindus celebrated Diwali (Buddhist, Hindu) a few weeks ago, the festival of lights. And in December the Muslims celebrated Al Hijra - the Muslim New Year. See, Islamic Muslim Holidays in 2011, 1432 Hijrah.

Don't forget the Christian Orthodox feast of St. Basil on January 1, also New Years Day. It's also the Japanese New Years Day. And for the Sikh community, January 5th is Guru Gobind's birthday. If you're Greek or Eastern Orthodox, you can celebrate on January 6 Epiphany and also celebrate Christmas on January 7th. See, Orthodox Christmas Day in United States. Many Orthodox Christians in the United States celebrate Christmas Day on or near January 7 in the Gregorian calendar. This date works to be December 25 in the Julian calendar, which pre-dates the Gregorian calendar. You also can celebrate The Nativity of Jesus Christ.

In Puerto Rico and for Puerto Ricans and Dominican Republic celebrants anywhere, and also in the Dominican Republic you have on January 6 celebrated as Three Kings' Day. And if you're Sikh, Buddhist, and Hindu in January, there's on January 13the celebrated - Lohri (Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh). This is followed on January 16th by Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday - Observed (United States).

And for any religion or none, you have Religious Freedom Day celebrated also on January 16th. It's the same day as the Baha'i followers celebrate World Religion Day. Want more holidays? Of course there's Chinese Lunar New Year (China, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam). And for the Vietnamese community in the US and anywhere else, there's Tet Nguyen Dan (Vietnam) "Year of the Dragon"....And then on January 26 for those of Indian ancestry, there's India Republic Day. And if you're Native American, there's the Powamu festival. For many other Native American festivals see the site, Native American or Indian Celebrations or Holidays by Brownielocks.

On February 8, 2012 there's the Jewish holiday, Tu B'Shevat - The New Year for Trees - Jewish Holidays And for Wiccans there's Imbolc (Wiccan) celebrated on February 2nd. Don't forget Feb. 14th is celebrated as Valentine's Day. There's also in February National Black History Month (United States). And March 21st is Race Relations Day.

Some people celebrate the solstice, when a certain season starts. Others celebrate the equinoxes. See, December solstice in 2011 on Thursday, 22. The December solstice will occur at 05:30 UTC on December 22, 2011 which is today. The December solstice is also known as the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere and the summer solstice in the southern hemisphere.
