Negros Oriental affected by Sendong is now the under state of calamity

Typhoon Sendong causes flashfloods due to heavy rain in Dumaguete City and Valencia in Negros Oriental. The two town is now under the state of calamity.

According to National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council 28 people are found dead and 15 people are missing. Water from Banica River and Ocoy River in the province already subside as of today. Electricity and communication lines have been off yesterday due to the calamity but it already returned as of this time.

Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro City have earlier declared as under the state of calamity due severe damages done by the typhoon. The two cities are the most affected of the typhoon as more casualties reported and still arises.
