Colombia's government requested the extradition of Panama's former director of the Department of Administrative Security (DAS), Maria del Pilar Hurtado, exiled in the Central American country since November last year.
Hurtado is considered key in the processes followed by eavesdropping made to Supreme Court judges, journalists, rights defenders and opposition politicians.
Against the former director of DAS, an organization that was settled recently, is accused of being part of the plot established during the government of Alvaro Uribe.
Howard led the DAS between August 2007 and October 2008, when he resigned amid the scandal tracks.
Later he took refuge in Panama citing an alleged persecution against him.
