The Pirate Bay Blocked in Italy

The infamous "The Pirate Bay" is now blocked in Italy. The website tracks which Torrent music files are available to download on the internet at any one time, and is massively "popular" and heavily criticized for enabling copyright violations. Now the site has been blocked by major internet service providers (ISPs) in Italy. It remains to be seen if more countries follow this now.

    When ISPs did this against the "Russian Business Network" autonomous systems, sysadmins worldwide cheered. How is this case different?
