Twelve to fifteen members of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula runaway from a south Yemen jail Friday early morning, protection authorities said.
The escapees dug a 6-meter tube in the western area of the Central Stability jail in Aden, the protection authorities said.
The escapees experienced no administration level of resistance, the protection authorities said.
Security makes shut down all roadways creating Aden and created check points on every main road after the break free.
Witnesses said tanks were used, and 100s of additional soldiers were positioned in front of protection workplaces and administration structures.
Some people in Aden lamented that protection makes on roadways and check points were using increased force with ordinary people.
"The makes were dealing with us as if we are thieves, at times making risks to anyone who demands them questions," said Khaled Mansoor, a bus motorist in Aden
