Islamabad-The Foreign Minister of Denmark, Villy Sovndal has on behalf of the Government of Denmark conveyed the deepest condolences on the loss of Pakistani lives after the unfortunate NATO strikes. The condolence was conveyed through an official letter to the Federal Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Mrs. Hina Rabbani Khar.

Mr. Sovndal has in the letter expressed the deepest sympathy to the families of the Pakistani officers and soldiers, who lost their lives or were injured in the tragic incident.

”Pakistan has already suffered enormous casualties with tens of thousands civilians and service personnel being killed by militants during the last 10 years. No country is so hard hit as Pakistan. It calls for our deepest sympathy and solidarity”, said Mr. Sovndal.

The Danish Foreign Minister also shared that both Pakistan and Denmark share joint interests, which first of all was a peaceful and stable Pakistan and a stable Afghanistan. He welcomed NATO’s intent to determine what had happened to cause this tragic incident.
